Brad Cassiday

President

Brad is a management professional with nearly two decades of experience in new product and new business development. For the past five years, Brad has focused his entrepreneurial efforts exclusively on animal-focused start-ups. Most recently, he served as managing partner of the Northwest School of Animal Massage and is currently consulting for a number of animal-related businesses through Chew Toy Media, his animal-business media firm. As a small-farm owner, he is well aware of the pleasures and challenges facing today’s animal owner and businessperson. Brad has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Michigan State University.

His thoughts on animals and pie…

On living with not only one, but two Jack Russell terriers, “Gorilla” and “Shanny”, he knows the sheer joy, amusement, energy, persistence, and patience it takes to be trained by them. Brad also enjoys his hobby farm of goats (never approach from the front), donkey (never approach from behind), and chickens (never wear a feather in your hat). He is an avid trader of wares with his friends and neighbors cleverly bartering his farm fresh eggs or organically grown veggies for a homemade pie. He is an animal guardian and enthusiast and supports causes that promote the care and well being of all animals.

Her thoughts on animals…Sophie and her daughter are both active and educated in the AKC dog show world. She is the proud slobber rag and hiking partner to “Comet”, her 6-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who attends community service events along with other members of the D.O.G.S. 4-H club. “Gleason” her 3-year-old English Springer Spaniel has just returned from the esteemed Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York. Gleason returned home this year without a ribbon but vowing to return next year with an even more boastful gate to claim a title and year long bragging rights. Sophie also enjoys the company of her cat, “GiGi”, who can usually be found curled up and napping in Comet’s recently emptied food bowl. Sophie has a profound compassion and love for all animals and the unspoken language they speak.
